The serial number may include the manufacturing date of your PC. For the MS Series products the manufacturing date is included in the serial number. The serial number contains three pieces of information. First and second character = product ID (says which scanner type). Third till sixth character = production year and week (yyww). Seventh till tenth character = unit number.
